Our History
Stepney Greencoat School was founded in 1710 by leading community members from the Hamlet of Ratcliff, to educate 110 local children.
It has developed and grown with the area over the last three centuries, meeting the needs of the community as it transformed from an industrial dockyard to the socially mixed, multicultural settlement that it is today.
The school is proud of its rich history and looking forward to forging ahead into the future whilst continuing to play a vital role in local life for centuries to come.
