At Stepney Greencoat Church of England Primary School, we are committed to providing high-quality physical education, sporting opportunities and physical activities for all pupils.
The Primary PE and Sport Premium funding supports our school in developing sporting provision, increasing participation and improving pupils’ physical development, confidence and wellbeing.

During 2025–2026, our school targeted PE and Sport Premium spending towards improving access to physical education, sport and physical activity for:
- Pupils with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).
- Girls, including improved access to PE lessons and extra-curricular sporting opportunities.
- Disadvantaged pupils.
These priorities reflect our commitment to providing inclusive sporting opportunities and encouraging participation in physical activity across the school.
Swimming and water safety
Swimming and water safety form an important part of the primary PE curriculum.
